The award-winning Cadog brand of Welsh Cheddar has been made to traditional Welsh recipes since the 1920s.

Launched in February 2004, our premium range of Cadog cheese is produced at our specialist Welsh creameries in Llandyrnog, North Wales using traditional, award-winning methods.

A Legendary Name

Cadog is named after one of the greatest Welsh saints from the 6th century, Cadog the Wise, who was both a monk and a king. Legend would have it that he was brave, generous, had magical powers and was a successful dairy farmer!

Cheddar Cheese

The art of making cheese is thousands of years old and it takes the time-honoured skills of an experienced cheese-maker and milk of the highest standard to make a good quality cheddar cheese. From scalding the milk to milling the curds and whey, specialists at our Llandyrnog Dairy take the time and care necessary thoughout the cheese-making process to ensure Cadog customers enjoy nothing less than the best-tasting Welsh cheddar in a choice of strengths to complement every cheese board on any occasion.
